I felt physically sick.
“There’s more,” Megan said softly.
She reached into Claire’s desk drawer and pulled out a thick envelope.
“She told me if anything happened to her… I had to give you everything.”
Everything.
That word suddenly terrified me.
Inside the envelope were printed screenshots.
Bank transfers.
Call logs.
Photos.
One picture showed Ryan kissing my mother outside a restaurant parking garage.
Another showed them entering the same hotel from the video.
The dates stretched back months.
Maybe longer.
I couldn’t feel my hands anymore.
“This has to be fake,” I whispered weakly.
But deep down…
